We are Marti and Audrey Wyatt, a husband and wife team different in our personalities but similar in our approach to life. We complement each other very well.  We are committed to our faith, each other, our family, our life’s work, and our community. Marti is serious (most of the time), and Audrey displays a gamut of emotions most days.  In our 19 years of marriage, it is our sense of humor that has helped us through many storms.

We were social entrepreneurs even before we knew the meaning of the word.  According to Wikipedia, a social entrepreneur is someone who recognizes a social problem and uses entrepreneurial principles to organize, create, and manage a venture for social change…a social entrepreneur assesses success in terms of the impact s/he has on society.

We are business “do-gooders”.  We have started two schools both primarily populated by children from single parent families.  Combining our hearts with our business minds, we have successfully taught our own and other children, and impacted the family as a whole during the educational process. Our family is certainly unconventional.  We can uncomfortably fit in a box, but only for a short time.

Our backgrounds are diverse.  I, Audrey, am a trainer, facilitator, teacher, accountant, writer, and public speaker. I have worked in the private sector and been an entrepreneur for the past 20 years. For me, entrepreneurship is the most fun by far. I am known as the Compassionate Consultant.
